From Bryker Woods, Downtown Austin TX is a breeze. Central Market is nearby as well as other shopping, restaurants, parks, hospitals and medical care. I am so glad that the Byker Woods Neighborhood Association wants to protect their neighborhoods historical integrity! It makes me sad when modern Austinists give no thought to our past. I grew up going with my parents going to my Mom’s dear friends home in Bryker Woods, Doris and Leonard Smith. Leonard sang at my Mom’s wedding and I visited Doris Smith at her home in Bryker Woods up until a few years ago.
